Policies

IMPORTANT



Bold One Defense LLC, makes safety a priority.  All students are expected to comply COMPLETELY with ALL policies. We reserve the right to request anyone not behaving responsibly and safely, or behaving in a hostile or threatening manner, to leave our training immediately to ensure the safety of every student.  Every student is required to sign this waiver of liability and safety contract before starting any of our classes.


PER FEDERAL LAW: Instructors at BOD may not train or certify any individuals that fall into the below categories.  By attending training with BOD you are certifying that you are NOT a person who:​

  • Uses, is addicted to, or currently under the influence of any unlawful controlled substances.
  • Is under the influence of alcohol at the time of  training (classroom OR range).
  • Is a convicted felon.
  • Is under indictment in any court for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding 1 year.
  • Is a fugitive from justice.
  • Has been adjudicated as a mental defective or have been committed to any mental institution.
  • Is an illegal alien.
  • Has been discharged from the military under dishonorable conditions.
  • Has renounced their United States citizenship.
  • Is under a court order restraining them from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner.
  • Has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of violence to in domestic violence and any type of assault.



In addition to Federal Law, BOD Instructors also reserve the right to refuse training to students for the following. 


SUSPECTED BEHAVIOR ALTERING SUBSTANCE USE: Instructors at BOD, at their discretion have the ability to refuse training to students for the reasons below.


  • Have a strong odor of behavioral altering substances, including, but not limited to marijuana or alcohol. No tests will be administered, however the instructors will ask the students to leave, for the protection of themselves and all students. NO REFUND WILL BE PROVIDED. 
  • Use of abusive or insensitive language.
  • Showing a lack of seriousness or attentiveness during instruction and use of firearms. 


SAFETY POLICY


All students attending Bold One Defense courses, acknowledge that the reaction to, possession of, and/or use of firearms is potentially dangerous, and involves risk of serious personal injury, death, psychological trauma, and/or other personal and financial liability. Also the discussion of subject matter and viewing of video could be sensitive to students for various reasons, and cause psychological trauma and related conditions. The student agrees to assume all risk and waives any and all claims of liability for personal injury, death, psychological trauma, and/or other personal or financial loss. All students will sign and provide a BOD Safety and Waiver of Liability contract prior to any classroom, range or other personal training takes place. 


RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY


All students are required to present a valid Driver's License or State Issued ID when checking in for any BOD course.  All students are expected to arrive on time and fit to participate in training.  Students will arrive with a signed waiver prior to training. Students are required to attend the entire course of instruction, therefore students arriving late will be refused entrance.  Please arrive early to allow time for check-in.  


ARRIVAL AND ATTENDANCE POLICY


All students attending BOD training must bring, adequate and recommended eye protection, hearing protection (unless otherwise agreed on with BOD instructors), these can also be rented at the range, and all ammunition (unless your training package clearly states that the ammunition is included).   No firearms or ammunition are allowed in the classroom, all items brought into the classroom will be checked prior to entering the classroom.  Firearms and ammunition should be stored securely in your vehicle until instructed to bring them into the training facility.  Students may bring their own firearm for use during live-fire training; however, the firearm should be unloaded (clear of all ammunition) prior to entering the training facility.  You must make the instructor aware prior to training what firearm you are bringing to training. Firearms must be cased or holstered, if students are current WCHP license holders, when entering the training facility.  Students who bring a firearm must be familiar with the particular functions of their firearm. BOD reserves the right to prohibit firearms it deems unsafe at the live-fire range. No reloaded ammunition of any kind will be used in training.  Only American manufactured ammunition will be fired in training courses for the safety of all participants.  


CANCELLATION POLICY


No refunds will be issued for any reason.  Re-scheduling of classes for any cancellations is at the discretion of Bold One Defense LLC (BOD) instructors and is not a guarantee.

All students attending courses must officially register/enroll via the BOD website.  Full payment of the class cost is due at the time of registration/enrollment.  By purchasing items via the BOD website, you acknowledge that you have read and understand all BOD policies, including the Release and Waiver of Liability, and agree to comply fully.  All students are required to sign a waiver of liability before each course begins.
